/sighs and closes her eyes, thinking of her own parents, them back to her own children, whimpering once/ sometimes parents have to leave their children behind for safety, or because someone else forced them to leave. I know I was forced to leave my children… behind… /her lip quivered/ because I would’ve been killed if I hadn’t… but i know that they didn’t do it because they hated you. They loved you and your siblings very much, and would never, ever hate you.

Under a bed. I just -sniff- need enough space to squeeze in, really…

-He sniffles again, a weak purr rolling from him. He’s not happy nor content right now, but his body is trying to calm itself, trying to calm him.- Then why did they leave? If they loved us, they wouldn’t have left, right?

…I just want to be with Daddy and Corin again.

I promise I won’t let anything happen until they get back, okay? /sniffs/ We’ll wait for them together. Okay?

-A low whimper escaped him, matching hers. He struggled to blink back tears, to be strong, but it was hard. His parents had abandoned him. No…They hadn’t. Had they?-

Thank you…Can I bring my nest from Daddy’s room? It still smells like him.

-He buries his face in her neck, sniffling, trying to hide the tears.-

They didn’t leave because they don’t love me anymore, right? Us? They don’t hate us, right?

Leroi… Let’s not think anything hasty, but… just in case something happened to them, I want you to know that you and your brothers could stay with me if you wanted. I’ll take care of you until they get home - i-if they get home, okay? /pulls him back to look into his eyes, offering a weak smile/ their jobs were very dangerous and something may have happened to either one of them… but if it didn’t, they should be back shortly. Until then I would like to take care of you boys… if that’s alright with you? Do you think you could let me take care of you until Corin and Max returned?

Okay…Michel can stay with his Dad but… -Sniffles- I used to sleep with Daddy and Corin most nights. The nest is still in Daddy’s room but… -Here come the tears. Legitimate tears.- It’s not the same. Daddy’s not there!

-He’s nearly sobbing now, almost growing hysterical.- O—okay. So I can stay with you? Until they get back?

-He whimpers softly, nuzzling back. Tears are welling up in his eyes  and he clings to her.-

…. I really hope it’s not true, but….

I think they might have ran away together…..

But I’m not sure. I haven’t found any traces of them… but they could be back anytime. We won’t know until later…
